Portraits

A passion of mine has always been drawing and painting portraits. These examples are painted from a photograph. They are acrylic on 300gsm A3 paper.

Starry Night after Vincent van Gogh - 10 Colour Screen Print Commission

I was commissioned to create this print for someone who loves this particular piece from Van Gogh. A daunting challenge to do the original justice but one that was fantastic to work on.

Felixstowe Beach Commission

I was given a treasured holiday snap of Felixstowe Beach and asked to recreate it as a screen print. I loved the simplicity of the view and decided to create this design in two colour ways.

Room Portraits

I illustrated my daughter’s first room as I wanted to capture it in this way. Particular cushions, toys, even the pottery cafe painted ornaments on the shelves. Everything in the room meant something to her and brought back fond memories for me. I’ve continued to create ‘room portraits’ for anyone looking to capture a space of meaning in this illustrative style. Multiple illustrations can be ‘stitched’ together to capture a 360 degree view.
